Took break from writing it. But i'm back now and nearly 1k words into it so its coming at some point.
Feels weird coming back. Had to take time off cause it got rather exhausting to write, but everything's mostly back to normal on my end.
After several months *cough cough year cough* I have published a new chapter in A Seemingly Familar Tail. If feels good to be writing again. Hopefully it won't be so long between chapter this time.
It's no surprise I haven't done much lately. But hopefully I can change that soon. I've already got a neat little project going, now I just need to sit down and write my own good stufftm.
I guess since I have nothing else to say, I can talk about a storytelling device I love just to ramble about something so this blog doesn't end up feeling hollow.
So after spending quite a while trying to name a character I wanted in the story and getting nowhere, I decided to just remove her and continue anyway. This story needs to be free dammit! I've started writing up chapter two properly now so expect updates eventually.
Side note. I want to find out names of shades of grey. But I know typing shades of grey into google images won't result in what I want.
I finished writing Chapter 34 so I thought I'd upload this. I just need to get a few edits done for Chapter 34 and keep writing while I have this wave of inspiration and self-confidence so I can get this story where it should have been weeks ago.
I feel crazy... I can actually write coherent chapters again... It's like when I had the inspiration for The Lost Garden...

Hey everypony, Angel again. I have much to say, much to do, much to try to convince myself not to worry about because I really seem to overcomplicate stuff sometimes.
So, as you can see, not much is happening with Fire and Shadows. Let me make myself clear right now: I have no plans to abandon it. Zero. Zilch. None. Not happening. I have a good plot in mind, an interesting cast of characters, a whole entire universe in my head, and I’m not letting that go to waste.
These horrible blog post names, eh?
I'm writing again yay, not as much as before, but I'm still happy! Besides, if I hadn't taken that long break from writing "the story" then it would've been not as good as it is now and who wants that?
I saw the trailer for the Friendship is Magic Season 9 premiere, and I have to admit that it's made me extremely depressed. Well, even more depressed than I usually am.
Hey anybody who's reading this! So last time I talked about what's going on in my life, I mentioned how I had Finals for my classes and that in Spring Quarter I'll be taking a break from the education constraints due to monetary reasons. Well right now it's my 5th Day into Spring break and only 3 more months to go before I go back to the grind!
Time to hit those keys and stopping moaping around. It does no one good. (unless your fluttershy then everyone hugs her, I know you do it for the hugs fluttershy!)

Pony terminology is confusing. What's the alternative for "handiwork" or "craftsmanship?" Is there one? And if there is, are there more like this? Do we switch "hand" for "hoof" and "man" for "stallion" or "pony?" They seem like a pretty gender ambiguous culture--but still use "guys" as a way to call a general group, typically between friends. On the other hand--or hoof--they also have pretty serious gender roles. Hell, ninety percent of the male population is in the guard. Ever wonder why

Twenty-Seven years old today...and I'm told I still look seventeen. Don't ask me what my secret is, I'm just as puzzled, but not complaining.
I've been spending most the year trying to get my webcomic done to a such a degree as to invite a consistent and enthusiastic audience. And when you're working solo on a hand-drawn historical-fiction about an obscure period of Ancient China, it's a slow process. But I'm hoping it'll be worth it.
